Dili, 27 February 2026 – The Agência Nacional para a Avaliação e Acreditação Académica (ANAAA) officially announced the results of the 2025 accreditation process during a formal ceremony held on Friday at the Pusat Budaya Indonesia (PBI).
The 2025 accreditation cycle covered institutional accreditation for two higher education institutions and programmatic accreditation for 21 study programs across the country. Among the programs evaluated was the Social Philosophy Study Program of Instituto Superior Dom Bosco (ISDB).
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. José Honório; the President of ANAAA, Dr. Xisto Martins; and the Executive Director of ANAAA, Dr. Nilton Diamantino. Rectors and representatives from various universities were also present.
Representing ISDB was Pe. Acácio, Head of the institution’s Internal Quality Assurance (IQA). Also present was Dr. Plácido, participating in his capacity as an ANAAA assessor as well as representing ISDB.
Minister Emphasizes Rigorous Standards
In his address, the Minister of Higher Education expressed his deep appreciation to ANAAA, to the national assessors, and to all universities that participated in the accreditation process. He emphasized the importance of maintaining rigorous standards in higher education accreditation to ensure academic excellence and institutional accountability.
The President of ANAAA likewise acknowledged the significant efforts of both national and international assessors. He thanked higher education institutions for their collaboration and commitment throughout the evaluation process.
New Composition of Accreditation Panels
Providing a brief report on the process, the Executive Director explained the stages and methodology applied during the 2025 accreditation cycle. He also announced an important policy update: beginning this year, accreditation panels will be composed of two international accreditors and one national accreditor, replacing the previous model of two national accreditors.
Additionally, he informed institutions that following the announcement of results, higher education institutions have 15 days to submit any recourse or appeal.
ISDB Social Philosophy Program Receives Grade B
The Social Philosophy Study Program of ISDB received a Grade B in its programmatic accreditation. The result reflects the program’s solid academic performance and compliance with national quality standards.
The ISDB community expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement, with the hope of achieving an even higher accreditation status in the next five-year cycle.
