Baucau, October 27, 2025. The Instituto Superior Dom Bosco (ISDB) carried out a socialization activity to promote its Philosophy and Pedagogy study programs in three Salesian secondary schools: São João Bosco Secondary School (ESSJB) in Laga, Santo António Secondary School (ESSA) in Baucau, and the Catholic Secondary School in Venilale.
The initiative aimed to provide information about the Philosophy and Pedagogy programs offered by ISDB and to help final-year secondary students better understand these areas of study, including their curriculum, learning methods, and future career opportunities.
The socialization team consisted of Fr. Acácio Domingos, SDB (Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences), Jaime Gaio (ISDB alumnus), and ISDB students Boris Salvador Belo, Cinzania Margareta, and Olávio do Rosário. During the activity, the ISDB team gave detailed presentations about the Philosophy and Pedagogy programs, followed by interactive discussions with students.
The participants showed great interest, asking insightful questions and sharing their perspectives on the relevance of philosophy in daily life and in teacher education. The socialization was seen as an important opportunity to guide secondary students in developing critical thinking skills and making informed decisions about their academic futures.
