Dili, 24 September 2025 — A group of media professionals and academics, including journalists and university lecturers from across Dili, gathered at the Pusat Budaya Indonesia (PBI) on Tuesday for a one-day workshop titled "Content Creator." The event, organized by Muhammad Yusran and Muhammad Arsan, ran from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and aimed to enhance participants’ skills in digital content creation and social media engagement. Among the participants were five representatives from Instituto Superior Dom Bosco (ISDB): Fr. Acacio, Fr. Benny, Maria Goreti, Rosa Fátima Ximenes Correia, and Olavio. According to Rosa Fátima Ximenes Correia, a librarian at ISDB, the workshop offered practical and up-to-date training on various aspects of content creation, including branding, video editing, and audience engagement strategies. Participants were introduced to digital tools such as Canva and CapCut, which can be used to design eye-catching visuals and edit professional-looking videos. “The training was very beneficial. I’ve learned how to design more attractive and professional posts, which will help in promoting our institution’s activities online,” Rosa said. “It has also equipped me to assist colleagues in producing better content for both internal and external communication.” The workshop covered essential topics such as creative content planning, visual design, and the strategic use of social media platforms to improve reach and visibility. It also emphasized the growing importance of digital storytelling in education, journalism, and institutional branding. Participants expressed gratitude to their respective institutions for enabling their attendance and recommended similar training opportunities in the future to further strengthen digital competencies among staff. The workshop concluded with the distribution of participation documents and a strong sense of enthusiasm among attendees to apply their newly acquired skills in their respective fields.
