Dili, January 22,
2026, Instituto Superior Dom
Bosco (ISDB) conducted a New Student Orientation Program for the 2026 Academic
Year. The program was held at the ISDB Comoro Campus in Comoro as part of the
institution’s official agenda to familiarize new students with both the
academic and non-academic environments before the commencement of formal
instruction. This orientation serves as a strategic initial phase in preparing
students and fostering their understanding of university life.
The orientation
program was conducted over a period of three consecutive days and was attended
by all newly admitted students from two academic programs. The opening ceremony
was formally convened and attended by the Rector of ISDB, members of the academic
staff, administrative personnel, and representatives of the ISDB Student
Council. The active involvement of institutional leadership and educators
underscores the university’s commitment to facilitating a comprehensive
academic and social transition for new students.
Throughout the
orientation, participants were systematically introduced to key aspects of
campus life, including the organizational structure of ISDB, academic
administrative procedures, library services, language laboratories, and other
supporting facilities. In addition, students received detailed information
regarding institutional policies, rules, and regulations governing academic
life at ISDB. The sessions were delivered by qualified institutional
representatives, ensuring that the information was conveyed clearly,
accurately, and effectively to all participants.
