Job Freitas Cabral Elected as New Student Senate Leader at ISDB
ISDB, February 22, 2025 – The Instituto Superior Dom Bosco (ISDB) has successfully conducted its student senate election for the 2025 academic year, marking the beginning of a new leadership era for the institution’s student body. The election took place on Friday, with the participation of the ISDB’s rector, faculty members, staff, students, and senior members of the student council.
Four candidates contested for the position of Senate Leader: Gil Domingos dos Santos, Job Freitas Cabral, Juvino de Araújo, and Seguismundo Boavida. Each candidate presented their vision and proposed initiatives before students cast their votes. The election process was carried out smoothly, with strong student participation, both from the Philosophy and the Science of Education faculties.
After a fair and transparent voting process, Job Freitas Cabral, candidate number 2, emerged as the winner. He will now assume the role of Senate Leader, responsible for leading the ISDB Student Council and representing the student body throughout the 2025 academic year.
Following his victory, Job Freitas Cabral and the newly elected student council members, in coordination with the Prefect for Student Affairs, have begun structuring their organization and outlining programs for the academic year. Their focus will be on strengthening student engagement, promoting academic initiatives, and enhancing student life at ISDB.
