Online Collaboration with Philippine Normal University for Social Philosophy Curriculum Revision
February 3, 2025—The ISDB curriculum review team held its third online meeting with experts from the Philippine Normal University (PNU) to revise the Social Philosophy study program offered by the Faculty of Philosophy. This series of consultations aims to enhance the program’s relevance and quality to better align with the institution’s educational goals.
The partnership with PNU, facilitated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), has been instrumental in this review process. The team from PNU, composed of curriculum experts Dr. Felicia Yeban, Dr. Florisa Simeon, and Dr. Eisha, has provided valuable insights and guidance. The ISDB team includes faculty members and administrators such as Dr. Placido, Fr. Joao da Costa, Fr. Manuel Pinto, Fr. Acacio, Fr. Silvano, Fr. Agnelo, Fr. Casimiro, Fr. Mario do Rosario, Valeria, and Lerio.
The review process began on January 8, 2025, with the first meeting focusing on a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis of the Social Philosophy program. A second meeting, held on January 10, delved into the key characteristics of the program. During the third meeting on February 10, discussions centered on shaping the profile of AB Philosophy graduates. The next meeting will outline specific outcomes for AB Philosophy students based on these deliberations.
This collaborative effort underscores the Faculty of Philosophy’s commitment to continuously improving its academic offerings and ensuring that its graduates are well-equipped to meet contemporary societal needs.
